We don't have a "rags to riches" story for you... We started this company very unhappy with what the current skincare market had to offer. We focused on the science and simplicity of African shea butter and essential oils.  Then.. We had kids.. We started a family and changed our scope to examine very sensitive skincare remedies. We created & hand formulated a life changing recipe for moisturizers we could, not only use on newborn sensitive skin, but also use on our own mature skin, with visible results! 

We worked as licensed laboratory technologist in the NYC health care system. We felt we could put our science degrees to better use.  An idea that started inside our tiny Brooklyn apartment, morphed into a spacious North Jersey studio. We used our scientific skillsets to create and formulate something new. 

By carefully considering a variety of natural materials, preservatives, temperatures, sustainable materials, concentrations, AND their affect on skin cells (that was a lot ... we know). We created our first Whipped Shea Body Frosting for our friends and family. We made one product, and perfected it.  Throughout our journey we decided on a company mission:

1.  To help preserve sensitive skin & our planet by using health conscious & sustainable materials.  
2. To empower African women and their communities by directly sourcing materials from their farms and donating funds to trustworthy organizations that share our values
